Dear guests,

Welcome to Taipei Veterans General Hospital!
On behalf of the clinicians and staff, we strive to ensure that our center provides you with an exceptional experience. We prioritize the well-being of our patients and their families above all else.
Established on July 1, 1958, Taipei Veterans General Hospital has grown into a distinguished international medical center, boasting over 3,000 beds and seven subsidiary branch hospitals across Taiwan. Our main campus, located in Shipai, Taipei, covers 30 hectares and is supported by nearly 7,000 dedicated professionals who attend to over 20,000 patients daily.
We offer a comprehensive array of highly specialized medical services, including therapies of pancreas, lung, liver, breast, colorectum, nasopharynx, brain, kidney, and bone cancers, organ transplants, complex joint replacements, cardiovascular interventional surgeries, neurosurgeries, orthopedic surgeries, cosmetic surgeries and more. To ensure the highest quality of care, our specialized teams are interconnected with well-coordinated collaborative centers.
In 2024, we were honored to be the sole medical center in Taiwan listed in Newsweek magazine’s ranking of the world's top 250 hospitals. Thanks to support from the government and generous donations from philanthropists in Taiwan, we invest heavily in advanced facilities. For instance, in 2023, we proudly inaugurated Taiwan's first and only Heavy-Ion Therapy Center—the 14th of its kind globally—expanding our capabilities in cancer treatment and offering hope to patients across Taiwan and worldwide.
Our international recognition underscores our commitment to healthcare excellence and to meeting the needs of our international patients from across the globe, including those from Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, China, New Zealand, Africa, Hong Kong, and the USA. Since 2008, our International Medical Service Center has facilitated care for numerous foreign patients, assisted in onboarding international medical professionals, and fostered extensive collaborations with foreign hospitals.
Whether you're a patient, a physician seeking education or referrals, or a hospital looking for collaboration, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our holistic environment, encompassing top-notch facilities and skilled, compassionate staff, enables us to deliver high-quality and advanced care.
We are here to serve and uphold Taiwan's healthcare mission, and we deeply value your support and partnership.
Warm regards,
Wei-Ming Chen MD.
