A Glimpse into the Future: Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Southeast Asia Collaborate on Healthcare

Taipei, Taiwan – September 5, 2024

Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH) on September 5 welcomed government officials fromIndonesia,  Malaysia and Brunei who are under the "Southeast Asian Government Officials Study Tour in Taiwan" program organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The officials were given an in-depth tour of TVGH, focusing on the hospital's cutting-edge applications of smart medical and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The visit also provided a platform for discussions on the current state of international healthcare.

Vice Superintendent Lee Wui-Chiang hosted the event, accompanied by International Medical Service Center Director Liu Chin-Su, Dr. Claire Wang Yi-Jenand Deputy Director Albert Yang from the Medical AI Development Center. The officials attended presentations on TVGH's innovative use of smart medical technologies and the services offered by the international medical center. They also toured Taiwan's only heavy-ion cancer treatment center, where they were impressed by the hospital's advanced cancer treatment technology.

The visiting officials expressed admiration for TVGH's innovative achievements in AI and clinical applications, as well as its outstanding accomplishments in smart healthcare and cancer treatment. This visit has not only deepened international medical cooperation and exchange but also contributed to promoting the joint development and application of future medical technologies.
