Artificial Disc for Cervical Disc Arthroplasty
Overview
Artificial disc is a medical device that serves as a disc substitute after disectomy. However, unlike tradiontal fusion device, the noval artifical disc implant can maintain the mobility of cervical spine, whereas the traditional procedure of disectomy and fusion cannot. Therefore, it can improved post-operative quality of life significantly.

The purpose of artifical disc implant is to replact the disc and maintain disc height, mobility, spinal alignment, etc.
Procedure
An incision will be made at neck where targeted vertebral level is reached. Degenerated disc and spurs will be removed, and the hemostasis will be achieved. We will carefully choose the optimal size of implant individually. Then the artificial disc implant will be deployed at the targeted level and the woud is closed.
Estimated length of stay at hospitla will be around 5-7 days, according to personal conditions.
