What is even more impressive was that Dr. Chen confidently said the minimally invasive surgery he scheduled to perform on 3/13 will definitely allow me to walk out of the hospital without assistive devices on 3/16. Right after the surgery, the pain in the wound was unbearable which made me and my family wonder if it would be possible for me to walk out of the hospital on my own in just four days. Miraculously, on 3/14, less than 24hrs after surgery, I was able to get out of bed and walk using assistive devices; on 3/15, I was able to walk without relying on assistive devices. Friends from overseas who
visited me at the hospital were amazed at the superb medical techniques and asked about the miracle-working physician and the highly efficient team.
During the hospital stay, Dr. Chen led the team to conduct rounds twice a day to examine the recovery status; the nursing staff went out of their way to assist with rehabilitation many times daily. Every member of the medical team was in high spirits and smiling no matter how busy they were. There may be many doctors with superb medical skills in the world, but under a rational and scientific medical system, Dr. Chen and the team inject a sense of human warmth into the rigid healthcare system.
